We all want to protect our properties and valuables, reducing the possibility that someone could break into our home or businesses premises and take items or information they have no right to.
Security systems are designed to reduce the likelihood of crime, however they can’t prevent it altogether. Having a well-fitted and maintained burglar alarm makes you less likely to become a victim of burglary. They act as a deterrent, providing both peace of mind for homeowners and fulfilling certain insurance requirements.
There are three basic areas of security:
- Monitored or un-monitored / stand alone Intruder Alarm Systems.
- CCTV (closed circuit TV) as standalone monitoring and via remote (online) viewing systems.
- Door Entry Systems that control the entry and exit to a building using tokens, fobs and / or a unique entry code.
You can also protect your property by carrying out good levels of basic housekeeping, installing security lighting, secure locks and locking systems on doors and windows. Also, moving bins (and other aids to intruders) away from fences, walls or gates to limit access to your property. Good quality dummy cameras and bell boxes can also act as a good deterrent.
